I’ve just finished reading The Shining by Stephen King, and it’s absolutely brilliant. It’s different to the film in a load of ways; it’s scarier, and at times gives the sense of incredible claustrophobia. Climbing!
I was just at the climbing centre! Climb number 3 since my surgery, with Father Discoknee on the belay, and I’m feeling pretty strong on the low 5.11s!
I aim to try bouldering next time I’m down there, and I’m stoked for it ;)
The only thing that sucks is that climbing centres can never seem to afford heating. On the plus side, this meant that the staff gave everyone a free cup...

If all goes well, the start of July 7th 2012 will be a year since my knee was fixed for good, and I want to celebrate in style! Suggestions are open, but I want to do something climbing/walking/hiking related in England or Europe (sorry, Americans, I might visit you after university ;)

Is it bad that watching 127 Hours makes me want to go climbing in America?
In other news, I had a killer session today. 2nd time back climbing after 10 months off and surgery, and I’m nailing the early 5.11s, and I fell off three quarters of the way up a 5.11c
I’m pretty damn pleased ;)
